Bilingual English and Urdu invoice
One PDF with English and Urdu headings for local clients who file in Urdu — without creating yet another SaaS account.
Why bilingual English + Urdu
Same idea as EN+AR: dual headings on one PDF so local teams can file comfortably while you keep English project language in the line items.
Good fit
- Islamabad / Karachi / Lahore freelancers billing local agencies.
- Studios that send English proposals but Urdu-friendly invoices to SMEs.
- Anyone already using the Pakistan template fields.
| You control | Kitebill provides |
|---|---|
| Client name, rates, Notes, payment text | EN+UR label pair on standard fields |
| Currency (PKR or USD) | Print / PDF layout |
| Whether Urdu appears in descriptions | Language toggle (free) |
Steps
- Open /generate → English + Urdu.
- Or app Settings → Invoice language → English + Urdu.
- Fill IBAN/Payoneer lines; print PDF.
More detail: Urdu invoice, Urdu guide, USD→PKR tracking.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Putting a PKR total on a USD contract (confuses overseas AP).
- Leaving How-to-pay empty because "they already have my JazzCash". Always print it.
- Reusing invoice numbers after a cancelled draft.
- Assuming Urdu labels replace a proper Urdu contract — they do not.
Pair with the Pakistan field template
Bilingual labels solve the language of headings. The Pakistan invoice template covers IBAN length, Payoneer lines and NTN notes. Use both when you bill a mix of local and overseas clients from the same app.
After you send the PDF, mark the invoice Sent in the app and update it when Payoneer or your bank shows the credit. That habit matters more than perfect Urdu typography.
Labels are free. Pro (US$29) is optional for scale features.
Questions
Do I need Pro for bilingual Urdu?
No.
Can I use PKR with EN+UR labels?
Yes. Currency and language are independent.
Is Nastaliq required?
Use a modern browser; system fonts usually render Urdu acceptably for invoices.
