Kitebill

Video editor invoice template (cuts, revisions, stock)

Editors get paid when the invoice maps to the cut the client approved: version, revision round, stock, and who owns the project file.

Revisions, kill fees and rush

Delivery vs invoice

Frame.io / Drive links do not replace an invoice. Send the PDF separately (or attach it) with a unique number. If you host files, put the expiry date in Notes so "the link died" is not a payment dispute.

Multi-currency and marketplaces

If the client found you on Upwork or Fiverr, read the Upwork and Fiverr guides before sending an off-platform PDF — those marketplaces restrict that. For clients you met elsewhere, invoice in the agreed currency and track fees in the app.

  1. Free generator — no account.
  2. Version + runtime as lines; stock as pass-through; project-file buyout if they want it.
  3. Print to PDF. Duplicate next episode in the app.

Questions

Should I bill stock on the same invoice as the edit?

Yes if the client reimburses you. Keep it as its own line so they can see the license cost. Do not inflate the edit rate to hide it.

Do you include a music license?

No. You write the license you actually bought. Kitebill is not a PRO or stock-music vendor.

Can I invoice in minutes instead of hours?

Use qty = minutes and rate = per-minute, or convert to hours. Be consistent with the quote.
