Free Excel invoice template for freelancers (USD)

A simple USD invoice spreadsheet you can open in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice. Yellow cells are for editing; grey totals calculate from your line items.

Honest limit: a spreadsheet is a single invoice layout. It does not track overdue invoices, keep a client list, or work offline as an app. For that, use the free generator (one PDF, no signup) or the Kitebill app (free for 3 clients / 10 invoices; Pro US$29 one-time).

What is on the sheet

FROM and BILL TO blocks (name, address, email, payment details / project).
Invoice #, issue date, due date, and currency label (USD).
Optional tax ID and Net 15 terms fields.
Line items: description, qty, unit price, tax %, discount, auto line total.
Subtotal, tax total (enter if needed), and TOTAL.
Payment notes: who covers transfer fees, Wise / Payoneer / bank.

How to use it

Download the .xlsx (or .docx if you prefer Word).
Replace the sample From / Bill To and line items with yours.
Print or export to PDF from your spreadsheet app, then email the PDF to your client.
If you want bilingual EN+Arabic or EN+Urdu labels on the PDF, switch to the free generator — spreadsheets do not ship those print labels.

When a spreadsheet is enough

One-off invoices, a client who already agreed on email delivery, or you already track payments elsewhere. Keep a copy of each sent file in a folder named by month.

When to graduate to the app

Yes. No signup and no watermark beyond a small footer note linking to the free generator.

Can I remove the Kitebill footer note?

Yes — it is ordinary cell text. Keeping the link is optional courtesy, not a license condition.

No. Pro unlocks the web app (unlimited clients/invoices, expenses, CSV export, logo, no credit line). These downloadable templates stay free for everyone.
