One client, several invoices, some paid, some late? List them here and get a one-page statement of account: opening balance, invoiced, paid, balance due and an ageing table (not yet due, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 90+ days late). English, English + Arabic or English + Urdu labels. Print or save as PDF. No signup, and nothing leaves your browser.
Statement sent? Keep track of what comes in.
This page forgets everything when you close the tab. In the free Kitebill app, each invoice is draft, sent or paid; sent invoices turn overdue by themselves after the due date, and the dashboard shows your total outstanding and overdue amounts across clients. When a payment lands, mark the invoice paid and record what arrived. The app does not print a statement of account itself, so come back here for that. Free for 3 clients and 10 invoices; Pro is US$29 once.
Statement of account: a summary of everything between you and one client over a period: which invoices were raised, what was paid, and what is still owed. It does not create a new debt; it lists the existing ones. Accounts teams use it to match their records with yours.
This page is not a tax invoice and not legal or tax advice. It does the arithmetic on the numbers you type.
How the numbers are worked out
Balance on each invoice = amount − paid so far. If you type more paid than the invoice amount, only the invoice amount counts and a note asks you to record the overpayment as a credit.
Opening balance = the balance you bring forward (anything owed from before the invoices you list) + the unpaid part of any listed invoice dated before "Period from". Leave the period empty to treat every listed invoice as part of this statement.
Invoiced / paid this period = totals of the invoices dated inside the period. Invoices dated after "Period to" are left out (the page tells you how many).
Balance due = opening balance + invoiced − paid. It always equals the total of the ageing table.
Ageing counts days from each invoice's due date to the statement date (no due date = the invoice date). Not yet due, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90 or more than 90 days late. An earlier balance you bring forward has no dates, so it gets its own column.
One simplification to know about: the page does not track when each payment arrived, only how much has been paid against each invoice. If your client's records split payments by date, add a line in Notes.
When to send one
Several invoices are open with the same client. One page with the total and the oldest item is easier to act on than five separate reminders.
The client paid a lump sum. Split it across the invoices it covers (Paid so far) so both sides agree which ones are settled.
Month end, quarter end or year end. Many accounts payable teams ask suppliers for a statement to reconcile.
Before a firmer reminder. Send the statement with a polite note first. If an item stays unpaid, the free payment reminder email generator writes the follow-up, and the late fee calculator works out a fee only if your contract allows one.
Yes. There is no signup and no limit. The printed statement has a small "Created with Kitebill" line at the bottom.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The statement is built by JavaScript in your browser and nothing is saved, not even a draft, and the page makes no requests to other sites. Save the PDF before you close the tab.
What does the ageing table show?
How much of the balance is not yet due, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90 and more than 90 days past its due date, counted to the statement date. The buckets add up to the balance due.
How do I show a payment that covered several invoices?
Split it: put the part that belongs to each invoice in that invoice's "Paid so far". Mention the payment date and reference in Notes if your client needs it.
Can the statement be in Arabic or Urdu?
Yes. Choose English + Arabic or English + Urdu. Headings such as "Balance due", "Ageing" and the column names print in both languages; your own text prints as you type it.
Does the Kitebill app make statements?
Not at the moment. The app tracks each invoice as draft, sent, overdue or paid and shows outstanding and overdue totals on the dashboard; for a printable client statement, use this page.
